Club Description

Every city has a nightclub where the in people go, in Chicago the Succubus is that club. Most of the time, the “in” club can only remain the in club for a short while, in Chicago, the Succubus Club has avoided this fate. The club opened in 1982 and has remained the place to go for 30 years.

The ancient brick warehouse looms over State Street like a brooding Titan. Although it’s been in the city for a generation, there is still always a horde of people outside, always struggling and battling to get in. Four bouncers stand guarding holding the line, with several more watching the line. These men aren’t looking for the underage, they are looking for the unwelcomed. A 17 year old with style is more likely to make the cut than a 30 year old with the proper ID.

Being 30 years old the club is not as stylish as some of the new clubs, but what is lacks in style on the outside, it makes up for in sound equipment, lights and decorations on the inside. Expensive wood stables, marble floors, and chandeliers are only some of the decorations. In fact the Succubus club is really three clubs on the inside.

The basement is a punk hang out, and is commonly known as the Labryinth, (and it really is a labyrinth). A central club is located on the main floor is known as “Reality”, and a large balcony above and overlooking it is known as “Elysium” (a private joke that started in the 80s) The Labryinth has its own outside entrance clearly marked as such. There are a number of signs at the top of the stairs when one enters Elysium (and a private guest list keeps this restricted to only those who should be up here: ie vampires and ghouls).

Also, there is a private VIP Lounge where certain movers and shakers in the mortal world do get invited to (OOC: ask if your mortal character is invited here).
